Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Beast comes into the arena with The Next Big Thing blaring out of the sound system. Lashley has chosen Fire & Brimstone as his entrance music. Bobby Lashley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock The Beast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Lashley!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Beast fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lashley sprawls well initially but The Beast persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The Beast prevents Lashley from improving his position.
Lashley is trying to control but can't.
The Beast tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The Beast blocks the strikes from Lashley.
The Beast seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Lashley strikes from the bottom but The Beast passes into mount!
The Beast connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Lashley felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lashley is trying to escape the mount.
Lashley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lashley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lashley is bucking up trying to escape but The Beast cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lashley wants to hold on but The Beast pushes him away.
Lashley can't escape the position.
Lashley manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The Beast is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Lashley is looking to control The Beast's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lashley avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lashley is trying to get back to full guard.
Lashley looks winded!
The Beast landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

The Beast wants to work for an arm triangle but Lashley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The Beast content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The Beast lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The Beast slips a nice elbow through Lashley's hands, connecting with Lashley's forehead.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lashley can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The Beast is working for a kimura but Lashley is defending it quite comfortably.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The Beast manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lashley on his heels. He'll look to pass Lashley's guard now, I'm sure.
Lashley is pulling down on The Beast's head to control his posture.
The Beast wants to control from the top but Lashley keeps moving.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The Beast is looking to work some ground and pound but Lashley has wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock The Beast dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Lashley throws a quick inside leg kick.

Lashley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The Beast tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
The Beast is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lashley can do to turn this around?
You can see the frustration on The Beast's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Lashley controls the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lashley wants to control but The Beast manages to buck him off and is now in Lashley's guard! Nice work there by The Beast!

Lashley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The Beast gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lashley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The Beast keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lashley's head.
The Beast connects with a couple of short punches.
The Beast is looking to stand up but Lashley won't let him.

Lashley controls The Beast momentarily but The Beast frees himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The Beast is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lashley is trying to control the position but The Beast postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
The Beast shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lashley pinned against the cage. Lashley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lashley throws a quick head kick that skims the top of The Beast's head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The Beast shoots in for a takedown but Lashley shows good takedown defense.
Lashley connects with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Lashley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Lashley drives through and clinches with The Beast against the cage.
The Beast wants a takedown.
A frustrated look appears on Lashley's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The Beast decides to pull guard.
The Beast throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Lashley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lashley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lashley avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lashley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Brock The Beast overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lashley is working The Beast over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Lashley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on The Beast, up you get!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from The Beast.

Lashley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. The Beast tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lashley is in The Beast's guard.

The Beast successfully pulls guard.
Lashley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Lashley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lashley gets to his feet - The Beast follows without any prompting.

Lashley doesn't manage to clinch there - The Beast circles away.
The Beast shoots in looking for a takedown but Lashley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing The Beast's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock The Beast. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lashley closes the distance and clinches.
Our sources have told us that The Beast has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

The Beast manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lashley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The Beast shoots for a double leg takedown but Lashley sprawls well. He's pushed The Beast's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lashley drives through with a takedown into The Beast's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The Beast preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Lashley wants to get up but he can't break The Beast's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

I think Lashley has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
