Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Do Ho Joy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Chatillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas Chatillon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Do Ho Joy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Thomas Chatillon!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chatillon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ho Joy is trying to defend but Chatillon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Chatillon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Chatillon throws the left hand but Ho Joy avoids the punch easily.
Ho Joy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Chatillon changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Ho Joy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chatillon.

We've been told by Ho Joy's head coaches at Secret Lab that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ho Joy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ho Joy wants it to stay on the feet.

and Chatillon counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Chatillon stalling away here and it's allowed Ho Joy to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Chatillon is landing with some decent strikes but Ho Joy is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Thomas Chatillon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Ho Joy thows a left - swing and a miss!
And Chatillon tries to counter it with a takedown but Ho Joy pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Chatillon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ho Joy as he jumps to the side.
Ho Joy throws a big counter combination but Chatillon scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Ho Joy fails with an attempt to clinch.
And Chatillon tries to counter it with a takedown but Ho Joy pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Nice uppercut lands for Chatillon. That snapped Ho Joy's head back.

Ho Joy has hold of Chatillon's hands but Chatillon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chatillon connects with a nice short shot to Ho Joy's temple.
Chatillon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Chatillon is nestled in close to Ho Joy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Chatillon is looking for a kimura here.

Chatillon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ho Joy is just riding it out for now. Chatillon eventually gives up the hold.
Ho Joy is positioning himself well to prevent Chatillon advancing to mount.

Chatillon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ho Joy keeps working.

Chatillon is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Chatillon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ho Joy defends it well.
Do Ho Joy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chatillon passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ho Joy!

I've got Chatillon winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
