The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bitnis throws a hook to the side of Mononen's head but Mononen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bitnis throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Bitnis tries to clinch up.
Bitnis misses with a series of wild punches.
Horrible takedown by Mononen or perhaps it was just good defense by Bitnis which made him look bad.
Nice takedown defense from Bitnis. No joy for Mononen on that attempt.

John Bitnis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bitnis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
