Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rocco Dangerfield! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Elias Paniki! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dangerfield shoots for a double leg takedown but Paniki sprawls well. He's pushed Dangerfield's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. As Dangerfield backs off Paniki throws a huge counter combo but Dangerfield manages to avoid it all. Paniki looks to throw the jab but Dangerfield is out of range. Paniki lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Rocco Dangerfield has been cut. Paniki gets caught napping as Dangerfield dives in and scores a takedown. Paniki manages to retain guard. Paniki wants to stand up but Dangerfield is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paniki is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Dangerfield throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Paniki works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dangerfield loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dangerfield forces his way into half guard. Paniki is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dangerfield scores with a couple of nice shots. Paniki looks like he's trying to stand up.

Dangerfield is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Dangerfield working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Paniki tries to kick Dangerfield off but Dangerfield keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Paniki can do anything to dispel that myth. Dangerfield missing with the ground and pound from half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Paniki avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dangerfield. We've been hearing that Dangerfield has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Dangerfield throwing shots but Paniki is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dangerfield is trying to control. Paniki wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Dangerfield stops Paniki from getting back to his feet.
Paniki keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Dangerfield passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Paniki! Paniki is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Dangerfield lands with some strikes.
It looks like Elias Paniki has been cut. Paniki is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Dangerfield with a couple of short strikes.
Paniki is rocked! Dangerfield has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Oooh a big shot lands for Dangerfield! Paniki is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
