Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikel Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroy Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikel Roman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leroy Wilkins! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilkins clinches up with Roman and pushes him back against the cage. Roman jumps guard but Wilkins turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Wilkins tries to pull guard but Roman holds him up against the cage and eventually Wilkins drops back down to his feet.
Roman prevents Wilkins from breaking the clinch. Roman wants to take the fight to the mat but Wilkins manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Roman fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikel Roman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wilkins with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Wilkins can't take much more of this. Wilkins just trying to survive but Roman is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Wilkins tries to escape but Roman has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Roman throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. It looked like Roman was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wilkins.

Wilkins has Roman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Roman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three minutes gone in the round. Roman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Roman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Roman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wilkins's head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Roman's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilkins tries to kick Roman off in order to stand up. Roman Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Roman connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wilkins some visible discomfort.

Roman lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Roman is looking to work some ground and pound but Wilkins has wrist control. Roman chips away with some ground and pound. Roman landing with the ground and pound. Wilkins is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Roman dives into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Roman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roman working away. Roman landing strikes. Roman creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Wilkins is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Wilkins wants to get back to his feet. Roman has control of an arm but Wilkins manages to advance to Roman's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roman trying to survive by controlling the hands. Wilkins is trying to stick to Roman's back but Roman is turning into Wilkins. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wilkins's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Roman. Wilkins isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Roman stacks Wilkins on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Roman! Wilkins on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Roman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wilkins managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Roman.
And that's the end of the fight! Mikel Roman showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Roman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
