Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gurney Halleck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krejzi Kure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halleck kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Simple Minds - Changeling. Kure is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by BIG SHUG - who's hard. Krejzi Kure told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halleck throws a leg kick
and Kure connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Halleck tries to clinch up.
Kure misses with a combination
letting Halleck counter with a right hand.

Kure loads up on a big right hand but Halleck slips the punch.
Halleck is looking to clinch.
Halleck ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kure moves away.
Halleck cracks a nice hook into Kure's ribs.
Kure is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Halleck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kure tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Halleck was well out of range. Poor timing from Kure.
Halleck lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kure takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kure looks to land a combination but Halleck avoids it well.
Kure takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Halleck looks to score with a jab to the body but Kure is just out of range.

Halleck swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kure.
Halleck avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kure misses with the combination.
Kure clinches up with Halleck and pushes him back against the cage.
Halleck lands with a light punch inside.
Halleck misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kure tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Halleck's elbow.
Halleck tries to work over Kure's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Halleck lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Halleck lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Halleck misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Halleck lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kure backwards.
Kure is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kure tries to break free but Halleck pushes him back against the cage.
Kure is still on wobbly legs! Can Halleck finish him?
A body shot lands from Halleck.
Halleck lands with a light punch inside.
Halleck lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Halleck unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Kure! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Halleck is unloading with more strikes now! Kure drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gurney Halleck!
