Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sjaardsen Hooj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pieter Daan Mostert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sjaardsen Hooj has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sjaardsen Hooj seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sjaardsen Hooj! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pieter Daan Mostert! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mostert fails with the takedown. Hooj is looking to counter punch. A looping hook to the body misses from Hooj. Mostert does a little dance to reset his feet. Mostert fails with a takedown attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mostert is defended easily by Hooj. Sjaardsen Hooj has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pieter Daan Mostert. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mostert with a lazy takedown attempt and Hooj counters with a stiff right hand. Hooj keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hooj chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mostert can pounce on him.
We've been told by Hooj's head coaches at The Coffee Shop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Mostert takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Hooj getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Hooj lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Mostert looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Hooj stuffs the takedown attempt from Mostert. Mostert gets slowly back to his feet. Mostert looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hooj bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mostert's head backwards. Mostert looks to land a right hand but Hooj moved out of range. Mostert has his takedown stuffed and Hooj counters with a stiff right hand. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hooj, as that shot connected.
Mostert is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mostert misses with a straight left. Pieter Daan Mostert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hooj throws a big shot that misses. Mostert tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hooj sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mostert somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mostert keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hooj. Mostert drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hooj defends it well. Hooj circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mostert to the canvas! Mostert doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Hooj keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
