The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derozan bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Tonin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Derozan circles away.
Tonin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Derozan circles away quickly and effectively.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Derozan is trying desperately to improve position.

Derozan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tonin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Derozan.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tonin is looking to take a break and control but Derozan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Teddy Tonin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Derozan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Tonin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Derozan finds it's way round the side to connect with Tonin's head.
Tonin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Derozan sprawls well. Derozan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tonin gets slowly back to his feet.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tonin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Derozan - the referee stops the clock and Tonin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Derozan. Tonin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Tonin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Teddy Tonin has been cut.

Derozan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
