The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milanesi throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Milanesi shoots in but Laliberte avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Laliberte throws a head kick that misses.
Milanesi tries to clinch there but Laliberte circles away.
Milanesi closes the distance and clinches.
Laliberte tries a body shot but Milanesi blocks it.
Laliberte softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Milanesi slowing the pace effectively.
Milanesi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Milanesi moves into the clinch successfully.
Milanesi tries to work over Laliberte's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Laliberte scores with a shot to the side of Milanesi's head.
Laliberte lands an uppercut.
Milanesi jumps guard but Laliberte turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Milanesi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Laliberte smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simone Milanesi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Laliberte lands a big head kick that sends Milanesi tumbling to the mat! Laliberte takes a step backwards and waves Milanesi back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Milanesi tries to clinch up but Laliberte circles away and keeps his distance.
Oh Milanesi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Laliberte cracks Milanesi on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Milanesi falls backwards against the cage. Laliberte follows up with more strikes that drop Milanesi to his knees. Laliberte keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Milanesi! This one is all over!
