Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Koreshkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lang might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Granite Breaker. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Lang! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Koreshkov! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lang ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. No luck with that takedown attempt from Koreshkov. Lang scores with a nice strike. Lang swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Koreshkov. A big left from Lang misses. Lang scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lang fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Koreshkov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Koreshkov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lang throws out the jab. Koreshkov moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Lang takes the fight into the clinch. Koreshkov jumps guard but Lang stands there with Koreshkov around his waist. Koreshkov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lang landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Lang lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Koreshkov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lang after a bit of a struggle. That's two minutes gone in the round. Lang lands with a cross. A decent looking cross lands there for Lang. Lang cracks Koreshkov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lang has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Koreshkov to stand back up!
Koreshkov is rocked! Koreshkov fails with the takedown. As Koreshkov tries to get set, Lang tries to push him back and clinch up but Koreshkov manages to avoid the attempt. Koreshkov is still on wobbly legs! Can Lang finish him? Koreshkov walks straight into a right hand from Lang - that's dropped him! Lang jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Koreshkov from any more punishment! Koreshkov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). David Lang! David Lang is the new welterweight champion! After winning the bout, David Lang thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
