Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reed Hightower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reed Hightower could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Roberto Kim's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reed Hightower! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roberto Kim! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hightower cracks Kim with a good jab. Jab, jab by Hightower - just one landing. Kim checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Hightower thuds a left hand into Kim's body. Kim tries a head kick but it misses.
Kim moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kim fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hightower checks it well. Hightower tried to counter with a leg kick but Kim avoided it. Kim looks to land a left hand but Hightower moved out of range nicely. Kim tries a head kick but it misses.
Kim walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hightower checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jab by Kim. Hightower takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kim connects with an inside leg kick. Kim throws a poor cross that misses
and Hightower counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Kim connects with a single shot there. Kim misses with a double jab
and Hightower counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kim working a defensive guard here.
Kim seems keen to control Hightower's posture. Kim looking for a guillotine here but Hightower defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim controlling Hightower's posture. Hightower tries to free his leg and advance position but Kim is retaining full guard. Kim is trying to control the position but Hightower postures up. Hightower controls from within his opponent's guard. Kim utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hightower in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim wants to improve his position but instead Hightower has moved into half guard.
Hightower lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kim with the active half guard here but Hightower passes nicely into side control. Hightower fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Hightower in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Hightower tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Sloppy strikes there by Hightower. Kim tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hightower controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. You can see the frustration on Kim's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hightower throws an elbow but Kim slips to the side and avoids it well. Kim regains half guard there - taking advantage of Hightower's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Hightower lands strikes from half guard. Hightower is looking to take a break and control but Kim is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Reed Hightower dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hightower wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hightower misses with a looping left. Kim looks to throw a body kick and Hightower counters with a big uppercut that knocks Kim off his feet! Hightower dives into side control looking to finish!
Kim is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A lull in the action here. Kim is still in real trouble! Can Hightower finish him? Hightower is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kim has escaped the position, nice work there. Hightower lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Kim tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hightower wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hightower controls the position. Kim is trying to get back to half guard. Hightower thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kim is trying to control Hightower's posture but Hightower avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's one minute gone in the round. Hightower cracks Kim with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hightower immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Kim is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hightower!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Reed Hightower! In his post fight interview, Reed Hightower started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. Roberto Kim was interviewed post fight and said 'HOOOODOOR!'.
