Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ambrose Patel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wilson Travis!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Travis wants to clinch up but Patel keeps it at a distance.
Patel is looking to counter punch.
Travis lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Ambrose Patel has been cut.

Patel is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Travis's half guard.

Travis pushes Patel off and gets back to his feet.
Travis wants to clinch up but Patel keeps it at a distance.

and Patel counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Travis is looking to clinch but Patel is avoiding it.
Patel is looking to counter the offense by Travis and move into the clinch.

Patel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Travis is fending him off so far but Patel persists. Nope, Travis circles away and we're back to standing.
Patel sets himself, and Travis steps forward looking for the clinch! Patel avoids it this time.

Patel is looking to counter the offense by Travis and move into the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Patel or perhaps it was just good defense by Travis, which made it look bad.

Patel closes the distance and clinches.
Travis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Patel walks away with a smile on his face. Travis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patel is trying to break the clinch but Travis is controlling him.
Travis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Patel avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Patel lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Travis hang on?

Travis is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Patel locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Travis is forced to tap!
