Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil McKinnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brendan Phelps! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil McKinnen! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKinnen throws a jab when Phelps was well out of range. Phelps misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McKinnen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McKinnen wants it to stay on the feet. McKinnen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Phelps is looking to counter the offense by McKinnen and move into the clinch. Phelps has McKinnen up against the cage in a clinch.
McKinnen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McKinnen taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
McKinnen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Phelps.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phelps using the Thai plumb to throw knees but McKinnen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
McKinnen is trying to break the clinch but Phelps is controlling him. McKinnen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Phelps uses from the top position. McKinnen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Phelps manages to get himself to full guard.
McKinnen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. McKinnen is looking to work some ground and pound but Phelps has wrist control. McKinnen stays in close to Phelps's body and controls the position. McKinnen stands up from Phelps's guard - McKinnen perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Phelps tries to clinch up but McKinnen circles away and keeps his distance. McKinnen throws a shot to the body.
Phelps wants to clinch up but McKinnen keeps it at a distance. McKinnen misses with the combination.
Phelps shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Phelps shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and McKinnen counters with a lovely shot to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brendan Phelps. That's going to take a lot out of him. McKinnen moves into range and clinches up with Phelps. Phelps throws an elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. McKinnen gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Phelps working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McKinnen. Phelps is breathing heavily. McKinnen gets to his feet. Phelps looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! McKinnen connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. McKinnen lands a nice hook to Phelps's body. Phelps takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Phelps throws a right hand that misses
and McKinnen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McKinnen misses with a wild combination.
McKinnen digs a good hook to Phelps's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A shot to the liver by McKinnen. Beautiful body shot. McKinnen throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Brendan Phelps has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McKinnen throws a series of punches but Phelps moves out of range. Phelps gets cracked with a nice right hand there by McKinnen. McKinnen misses with a few strikes there.
Phelps tries to clinch and McKinnen counters with a straight punch to the midsection. McKinnen scores with a three punch combo!
Phelps seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. McKinnen shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Phelps is backing up but McKinnen catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Phelps covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! McKinnen Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil McKinnen! In his post fight interview, Phil McKinnen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
