Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Lius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pete Lius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bill Glass!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lius misses with a body shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Glass! But no joy.
Glass throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lius throws a poor cross that misses
and Glass counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lius thinking.
Lius slips under a jab from Glass.
Glass darts in and out, connecting with a jab.


It looks like Pete Lius has been cut.
Lius seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Lius misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lius looks for a takedown but Glass sprawls well.
Lius fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Lius. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lius is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Glass.
Lius looks to score with a jab to the body but Glass is just out of range.

Lius looks to throw the jab but Glass is out of range.
A little jabbing left from Glass on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Lius shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Glass manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Glass pulls Lius in to control the position.
Lius stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Glass swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Glass really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lius slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Glass trying to control the position here.

Lius drops back looking for a leg! Glass is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Glass manages to kick Lius off! Lius jumps back into Glass's guard.

Glass looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lius is pushing down on Glass's leg trying to pass to half guard. Glass is fighting to maintain full guard but Lius has managed to sneak the leg through.
Lius not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Lius is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Glass has managed to free his arm - good work.

Lius is looking for a kimura but Glass is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lius to get the leverage.

Glass is defending against the submission attempts here by Lius.

Lius looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Glass is looking to improve his position.
Lius lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Glass is looking to control Lius's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Glass avoid being mounted?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lius is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Lius passes into side control, despite Glass's attempt to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Glass takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pete Lius will probably get the nod.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Glass scores with a three punch combo!
Lius throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Glass counters with a nice body shot.
Glass slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


Pete Lius's cut is getting worse.
Glass throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Glass misses with the combination.
Glass moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


Pete Lius's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Glass stuffs the takedown.
Glass lands a nice shot that snaps Lius's head back.
Glass blocks a jab.
Glass looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Glass scores with a jab. Lius acknowledges it with a nod of the head.


Jeez, Pete Lius's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A looping hook to the body misses from Glass. Lius does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pete Lius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lius tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Glass swivels and escapes.
Glass has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lius shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Glass as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Lius. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lius throws a jab but it's blocked by Glass.

Lius dives in and scores a takedown into Glass's guard.
Lius in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Glass has control of Lius's left arm, preventing Lius from doing any damage.
Glass keeping full guard, as Lius tries to pass.
Lius loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lius trying to control but Glass is working from the bottom.

Lius scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Lius wants to control from the top but Glass keeps moving.
Lius pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Glass is keeping the position for now.

Lius thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Glass utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Lius tries for a takedown but Glass circles away easily
letting Glass counter with a right hand.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pete Lius's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Bill Glass!
Bill Glass seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
