Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shayne Corson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bone's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, You'll Never Walk Alone. Joe Bone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Bone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shayne Corson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bone plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! A good leg kick by Corson. Bone throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Bone throws a chopping leg kick but Corson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. It seemed like Corson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Corson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Bone ducks under a wild hook from Corson. Bone lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bone blocks a low kick nicely. Bone half committed to a counter leg kick. Bone scores with a jab. Jab, jab by Corson - just one landing. Bone lands a slapping body shot.
Corson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Corson avoids a kick to the body.
Bone throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Corson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bone keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bone staying out of range there. Corson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Corson throws a shot from downtown. Bone moves away and avoids it. Bone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Bone tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bone takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Joe Bone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Corson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Corson ducks under a wild hook from Bone. Bone lands a leg kick that knocks Corson off balance momentarily. Bone moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Bone chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Corson can pounce on him.
Bone misses with a body shot.
Bone connects with a high kick. Corson looks to throw the jab but Bone is out of range. Bone takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bone misses with a looping left. Corson defending well as Bone loads up on a big left hand. Bone looks to score with a jab to the body but Corson is just out of range. Corson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Bone connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Decent striking displayed by Bone there. Corson tests Bone's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bone pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Bone blocks the body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Some bone on bone action there as Bone checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Bone has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Martial Arts Dojo in the buildup to the fight. Bone moves out of range of the strikes. Bone just misses with a punch to the body.
Bone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Corson.
Bone throwing a counter right hand but Corson manages to avoid it. Corson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bone is able to avoid easily. Good standup being displayed there by Corson as he connects with a hook. A jab from Bone finds it's way through Corson's defenses. Corson blocks the body kick.
Corson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A little feinted left hand from Bone on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Corson tries to land a leg kick but Bone saw it coming and moves away.

and Bone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Corson misses with a looping right. Bone looks for the body kick but Corson saw that one coming. Corson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Corson wants it to stay on the feet. A punch lands to the side of Bone 's head but he takes it in his stride. Bone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bone looks to land a body kick but Corson moved away. Bone tries a head kick but it misses.
Corson looks like he wants to counter punch here. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Corson checks a leg kick. Corson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bone. Corson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Bone throws a nice outside leg kick. Bone misses with a body shot.
Corson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bone defends it well. Bone changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A jab lands there for Bone. Corson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bone doesn't seem bothered though. Bone throws a wild body kick that Corson sees coming a mile off. Corson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Corson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Bone moves out of range of the leg kick from Corson. Bone throws a hook but Corson avoids it easily. Corson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Corson connects with a looping right hand.
Bone misses with a low kick. Corson tries to land a body kick and Bone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Corson won't be happy with that. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Bone working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Corson stops Bone from passing to mount. Bone swings around for an armbar but Corson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bone's guard. My spies in LOD: Contenders (Max ID290) inform me that Corson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bone is looking for a triangle here but Corson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Bone will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Bone drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Bone with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Corson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Corson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Corson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bone scores with a decent looking hook. Corson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Donk. Corson catches Bone right on the button with a cross. Bone takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bone is rocked! Bone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Corson.
Corson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Oh Bone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bone lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Corson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Corson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Bone seems to have got his legs back now.

Corson is looking to land body kicks. Shayne Corson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A good leg kick by Bone. Bone uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Corson. Bone drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Corson is trying to improve his position. Bone wants to control but Corson is keeping him busy. Bone goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Corson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bone's guard! Nice work there by Corson! Bone wants to sweep but no luck. Joe Bone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Corson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Corson preventing the sweep. Bone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Corson defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bone tries to land a sweep but no joy. Corson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bone trying to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Corson tries to stand but Bone is controlling from the bottom. Bone is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Bone takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Corson scores with a jab to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bone connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Corson throws a jab but it's blocked by Bone. Bone throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Shayne Corson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Corson throws out a powerful jab. Corson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bone. Bone scores with a leg kick.
Bone lets loose with a powerful body kick. Corson will feel that in the morning. Nice uppercut there from Bone. Good standup being displayed there by Corson as he connects with a hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Corson avoids the body shot from Bone.

Bone lands a leg kick that knocks Corson off balance momentarily. Bone looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Bone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Corson's waist but Corson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bone off to one side. Corson raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. A jab lands there for Corson. Corson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bone. Bone obviously looking to wear him down.

Corson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Bone throws a leg kick but Corson sees it coming and checks it nicely. Corson tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Bone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Corson.
A decent looking cross lands there for Corson. Corson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bone was well out of range. Poor timing from Corson. Corson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bone doesn't seem bothered though. Bone misses with a head kick.
Bone looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Bone ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bone avoids a kick to the body.

Bone works Corson's body with a nice hook. Corson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bone. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Corson throws a leg kick and Bone counters with a good, hard body kick but Corson shrugs it off. Corson throws a series of punches but Bone moves out of range. Nice shot by Corson. Bone avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bone closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Corson quickly recovers to half guard. Bone trying to pass the guard but Corson defending well. Corson is staying active underneath Bone, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Corson is trying to maintain the position but Bone is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Corson's head. Bone wants to work for an arm triangle but Corson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Corson keeps control of the position for the meantime. Bone seems to be working for a kimura but Corson defends the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bone is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bone trying to control the action but Corson is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bone tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bone lands a leg kick that knocks Corson off balance momentarily. Crunch! Corson slams his shin into Bone's torso. Bone throws a sloppy body shot
and Corson counters with a two punch combo. Bone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Corson.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Shayne Corson. I think Corson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by split decision... Shayne Corson! Shayne Corson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
