Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joel Rommero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Neffgen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rommero fails to land with a series of punches.
Neffgen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rommero dives in and grabs Neffgen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Neffgen pushes down on Rommero's head and hops out.
Neffgen throws a fast counter high kick but Rommero manages to duck under it in time.
Rommero seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Rommero throws an overhand right that lands on Neffgen's shoulder, as Neffgen tries to avoid the shot.
Rommero fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Neffgen dodges the punch combination from Rommero.
And Neffgen tries to counter it with a takedown but Rommero pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Rommero counters with a three punch combo that has Neffgen backing up. Neffgen nods at Rommero to acknowledge the strikes.
Rommero defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Neffgen.
Neffgen moves in looking to clinch but Rommero pushes him off.

Despite the aggression on Neffgen's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Neffgen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rommero paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Neffgen counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Rommero is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Neffgen lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Neffgen shoots in and drives through. Rommero sprawls well.
Neffgen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rommero gets to his feet - Neffgen follows without any prompting.

and Rommero counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Rommero drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rommero jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joel Rommero overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neffgen tries to lock up and control but Rommero gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Neffgen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rommero is looking to work his way around to Neffgen's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Rommero is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Neffgen has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Rommero stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
No luck for Neffgen with that takedown attempt.
Rommero throws a big counter combination but Neffgen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

No joy there for Rommero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rommero turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rommero manages to end up in side control.
