Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keeks O Donovan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

O Donovan drives through with a takedown into guard.
Burnett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Burnett being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burnett is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
O Donovan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

O Donovan trying to control the position from guard on top but Burnett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
O Donovan stays in close to Burnett's body and controls the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

O Donovan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Burnett to the mat! Burnett manages to get full guard.
O Donovan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Burnett scores with a nice shot.
Burnett scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.

O Donovan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
O Donovan postures up in Burnett's guard and throws a big left but Burnett blocks it.

O Donovan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Burnett, pushing him back against the cage.

O Donovan decides to pull guard.

Burnett stands up and waves to O Donovan to follow him.

Burnett clinches up with O Donovan and pushes him back against the cage.
Burnett tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. O Donovan smiles and moves away.

Burnett tries to keep at a distance but O Donovan has taken the fight into the clinch.
O Donovan looking to throw knees to the head but Burnett is blocking nicely.

Burnett breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

O Donovan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. O Donovan lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
O Donovan blocks the strikes from Burnett.
Burnett tries to get to full guard but O Donovan has control of the leg.
O Donovan is controlling the pace.
O Donovan is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

O Donovan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
O Donovan laying and praying for a moment but Burnett takes advantage and regains half guard.
O Donovan wants to free his trapped foot but Burnett is holding on for dear life with his legs.

O Donovan is keen to just control but Burnett is a slippery customer.
O Donovan is figuring out what he wants to do next.
O Donovan thows a huge punch but Burnett dodges it nicely.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
O Donovan is stalling here. Burnett is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! O Donovan seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Burnett has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
O Donovan is trying to control Burnett's posture but Burnett avoids it.

O Donovan manages to get back to half guard.

O Donovan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Burnett, up you get!
O Donovan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

O Donovan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Burnett's guard.
O Donovan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
O Donovan looking to sit in guard and control but Burnett gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
