Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Detrious Seterdahl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonny Williams! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams clinches. Williams manages to pull guard.
Seterdahl forces his way into half guard. Williams tries to roll over but Seterdahl keeps him under control. Seterdahl will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Seterdahl wants to work for an arm triangle but Williams is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Williams is defending against the submission attempts here by Seterdahl.
Seterdahl prevents Williams from improving his position. Williams should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams landing a few short strikes. Williams wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Seterdahl wants to control but Williams is keeping him busy. Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Seterdahl. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Seterdahl passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Williams! Williams is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Seterdahl fails to take his opponent's back. Williams is trying to escape the mount.
Seterdahl takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Seterdahl is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams rolls, trying to escape but Seterdahl keeps control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seterdahl is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Williams with him. Williams is trying to defend but Seterdahl has an arm under the chin now! Williams grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Detrious Seterdahl! An intense looking Detrious Seterdahl took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Suga Night ees very good een thee stand oop strikeeng, but he have no skill on de ground, Seterdahl know dees, he need too be more well rawnded'.
