Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petr Kotrc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix). Jonathan Davis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Petr Kotrc!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Kotrc counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kotrc lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kotrc prevents Davis from standing back up.
Kotrc slips a nice elbow through Davis's hands, connecting with Davis's forehead.
Davis blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kotrc.
Kotrc stalling away here and it's allowed Davis to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Kotrc forces his way into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kotrc decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Davis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kotrc moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis dips to his left and cracks Kotrc with an uppercut!
Davis lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Davis takes a swing at Kotrc's ribcage but misses.

Davis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kotrc to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Davis is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kotrc dives into side control.

Davis is pushing Kotrc's head away, looking to escape. Kotrc manages to hold on to the position though.
Kotrc connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Davis some visible discomfort.
Kotrc working the strikes but Davis uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kotrc decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Davis definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Good shot there by Davis.
Jonathan Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kotrc backs up against the cage.


Kotrc is rocked!
Jonathan Davis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kotrc slips a jab and a cross from Davis.
Kotrc is still on wobbly legs! Can Davis finish him?
Kotrc shoots in looking for a takedown. Davis tries to sprawl out of it but Kotrc keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Davis lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Kotrc falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jonathan Davis!
Jonathan Davis decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
