Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axl Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stephen Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Axl Ray!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray is looking to clinch but Drake is avoiding it.
Ray misses with a series of wild punches.
Ray misses with a takedown attempt - Drake sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
It looked like Drake was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Ray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Drake as he jumps to the side.
Ray fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Stephen Drake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Axl Ray.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ray misses with a head kick.
Drake is looking to counter the offense by Ray and move into the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Drake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Drake shoots for a double leg takedown but Ray sprawls well. He's pushed Drake's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Drake shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ray but Ray pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Drake darts in looking for a takedown but Ray gets double underhooks and turns Drake into the cage.

Drake shoots for a double leg takedown but Ray sprawls well. He's pushed Drake's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
