Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Duxney Pierda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamey Lungerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierda comes to the cage accompanied by Cigarettes After Sex - Please Don't Cry. Duxney Pierda has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Duxney Pierda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jamey Lungerson! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Pierda misses. Lungerson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Lungerson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pierda. Lungerson takes the fight into the clinch. Pierda can't get the takedown.
Lungerson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pierda just stands there and leans against the cage. Pierda escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lungerson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The fighters circling - Pierda throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Lungerson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pierda. Lungerson dives in and grabs Pierda's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pierda pushes down on Lungerson's head and hops out. Pierda keeps the fight on the outside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lungerson goes for a double leg but Pierda avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pierda continues to drive forward. Duxney Pierda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamey Lungerson. Pierda throws an off balance right hand
and Lungerson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pierda missing with a left hand there. Lungerson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pierda closes the distance and clinches. Pierda drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lungerson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Pierda swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A big right from Pierda misses. Lungerson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pierda. Lungerson goes for a double leg but Pierda avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pierda continues to drive forward. Lungerson shoots in for a takedown. Pierda really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Let's hope that Lungerson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Lungerson wants to get up but he can't break Pierda's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Pierda striking off his back but it's not causing Lungerson any problems. Lungerson wants to control from the top but Pierda keeps moving. Pierda is looking to sweep but instead, Lungerson has passed into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierda gets full guard. Pierda trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Pierda throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Pierda thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Pierda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pierda trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Pierda looking for a sweep. Not yet Pierda, not yet. Pierda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pierda is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pierda thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Pierda is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lungerson defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Duxney Pierda dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lungerson forces Pierda back against the cage and clinches. Pierda looking for a takedown. Lungerson is working for takedown but Pierda is calmly controlling the position for now. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pierda takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Lungerson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Pierda throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Lungerson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Pierda tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pierda is working hard here to advance position. Lungerson controlling his opponent. Lungerson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Lungerson blocks Pierda's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lungerson throws some wild stikes that Pierda manages to avoid easily.

Lungerson is rocked! Lungerson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pierda defends well and Lungerson ends up having to push Pierda into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Lungerson seems to have recovered his senses. Pierda is trying to improve his position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pierda gets back to half guard. Pierda tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Lungerson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pierda to stand up. Lungerson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lungerson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pierda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pierda misses with a hook. Lungerson ducked under it nicely. Pierda is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Pierda is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lungerson can do to turn this around? Lungerson defending well as Pierda loads up on a big left hand. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lungerson is defended easily by Pierda. Nice shot by Pierda. Lungerson moves away from the strike by Pierda. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pierda throws a jab when Lungerson was well out of range. Decent striking displayed by Pierda there. Pierda moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Pierda connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Pierda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pierda missing with a left hand there. Lungerson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
