Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Kleinsasser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Austin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Melvin Kleinsasser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steve Austin!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kleinsasser breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Austin misses with a hook.
Nice defenses there by Kleinsasser.
Austin misses with a looping right.

Kleinsasser bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Austin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kleinsasser asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Kleinsasser decides to stand up, so the ref orders Austin to his feet.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kleinsasser takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Austin throws the left hand but Kleinsasser avoids the punch easily.

Steve Austin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Austin throws a nice looking combination but Kleinsasser bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kleinsasser shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Austin lands with an uppercut that bounces Kleinsasser off the cage and back into rage.

Kleinsasser could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kleinsasser has picked Austin up - he's going for a ride! Kleinsasser dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Kleinsasser throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Steve Austin will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Kleinsasser has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kleinsasser breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kleinsasser showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Austin.
Austin takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Austin's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Austin duly obliges.
Austin throws a shot to the body.
Kleinsasser lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kleinsasser.
Austin lunges at Kleinsasser with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kleinsasser's hand.

Kleinsasser feints and as Austin raises his hands in defense, Kleinsasser changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kleinsasser prevents Austin from getting back to his feet.

Kleinsasser slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Kleinsasser has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Austin cracks Kleinsasser with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Austin misses with an uppercut.
Austin stuffs the takedown.
Austin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kleinsasser sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Austin connects with a crisp jab.
Austin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Austin stuns Kleinsasser with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Austin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Austin cracks Kleinsasser with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Kleinsasser rushes Austin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Austin looks to land a right hand but Kleinsasser moved out of range.

Austin gets caught flat footed, as Kleinsasser shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kleinsasser wants to control from the top but Austin keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Kleinsasser counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Austin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kleinsasser stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Austin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kleinsasser is pulling down on Austin's head. It's preventing any offense from Austin, at least for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Austin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Steve Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Austin.
Austin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kleinsasser gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Austin.

Oh Kleinsasser is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kleinsasser seems to have got his legs back now.

Austin scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Kleinsasser counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Austin lands a left and a right that sends Kleinsasser crashing to the canvas! Austin dives into mount looking to finish!
Kleinsasser is wriggling around trying to escape.
Austin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kleinsasser is looking to escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Steve Austin.
I think Austin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
