Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Merrill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Lock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcel Merrill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Raymond Lock! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lock throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Lock wants to clinch. Merrill tries to counter with a takedown but Lock is quick to defend against it. Lock feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lock forces his way into half guard. Merrill is concentrating on defense, preventing Lock from advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lock is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Lock controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Merrill is not content to let Lock control the position. Lock takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Merrill trying to control from the bottom.
Lock is taking a breather. Merrill says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Let's hope that Lock has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Merrill controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Lock content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Merrill is controlling Lock's trapped leg to prevent Lock from advancing to side control. Lock stalling.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lock clinches up against the cage. Lock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lock tries to clinch up and Merrill counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lock!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Merrill stands up and beckons Lock to his feet. Merrill shoots in and drives through. Lock sprawls well. Lock drops Merrill with a left and a right! Oh, Merrill is hurt - Lock dives into side control looking to finish!
Merrill is rocked!
It looks like Marcel Merrill has been cut. A big shot lands for Lock! That's hurt Merrill! Will he recover? Lock fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raymond Lock!
