Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alvin Moreno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francisco Silva!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Moreno seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Francisco Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Moreno tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.
Moreno tries to break the clinch but Silva is controlling the position.

Silva jumps guard and drags Moreno to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moreno keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Silva wants to pass to mount but Moreno is defending the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva tries to stand and escape but Moreno is controlling the position.
Moreno has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.

Moreno really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva is nestled in close to Moreno, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Silva slips a nice elbow through Moreno's hands, connecting with Moreno's forehead.

Silva wants to stand up but Moreno is controlling the position.
Silva wants to pass to mount but Moreno is defending the position.
Silva is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moreno is looking to control Silva's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Moreno avoid being mounted?

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Silva cracks Moreno with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Silva has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Moreno to stand back up!


Moreno is rocked!


It looks like Alvin Moreno has been cut.

Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Silva slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Silva lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Francisco Silva!
