The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vankata looks to land a left hand but Armstrong moved out of range nicely.
Vankata falls off balance throwing a combination
and Armstrong counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Vankata gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Armstrong drags the fight down to the ground.
Vankata wants to stand but Armstrong has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Vankata got a little sloppy there for a moment and Armstrong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vankata has managed to get both his arms back between Armstrong's legs - danger averted.
Armstrong has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Vankata is posturing up here but Armstrong has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Vankata tries to roll out but it's too tight and Vankata has to tap! Slick submission there by Armstrong!
