Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Greg Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haris Milavic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Battle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Haris Milavic!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milavic keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Battle does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Milavic throws a counter combo.

Milavic drives through with a takedown into guard.

Milavic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Battle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Milavic has managed to get both his arms back between Battle's legs - danger averted.
Milavic slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Milavic would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Milavic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Battle keeping moving, preventing Milavic from controlling successfully.

Milavic passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Battle is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Milavic is trying to get an arm triangle but Battle is defending well.
Battle regains half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Battle is looking to improve his position.
Battle is refusing to be controlled, as Milavic sits in half guard.
Milavic thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Milavic is keen to just control but Battle is a slippery customer.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Milavic wants to stand up but Battle is controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Milavic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Milavic shoots in and bounces Battle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Battle is looking to stand back up but Milavic counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Battle.

Milavic lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Battle wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Milavic working over Battle with some ground and pound. Battle looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Milavic is looking to stall here but Battle recovers full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Battle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Milavic controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Milavic throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Battle works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Milavic wants to stand but Battle has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Milavic passes Battle's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Haris Milavic dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Battle enables Milavic to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Battle manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Milavic tries to stand but Battle is controlling from the bottom.
Milavic tries to free his leg and advance position but Battle is retaining full guard.
Milavic trying to control but Battle is working from the bottom.
Milavic is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Battle is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Battle has his foot on Milavic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Milavic works his way back into a safe position though.

Milavic makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Milavic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Milavic postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Battle thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Milavic's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Haris Milavic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Milavic drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Milavic wants to stand and escape but instead Battle has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Milavic has a closed guard, preventing Battle from standing up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Milavic working a defensive guard here.
Milavic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Milavic trying to keep a closed guard but Battle is proving a slippery customer.
Milavic pulls Battle in to control the position.
Milavic is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Milavic has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Battle trying to control the position from guard on top but Milavic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Haris Milavic has got the better of the ground game so far.
Battle throwing strikes from guard but Milavic blocks nicely.

Battle preventing the sweep.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Milavic shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Battle is trying to defend but Milavic finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Battle is looking for a sweep. Milavic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Battle is trying to control but can't.
Milavic scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Milavic is keen to just control but Battle is a slippery customer.
Milavic moves into full mount! Battle won't be happy about that!
Milavic lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Battle hang on?
Milavic looking to control but Battle is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Milavic postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Battle in real trouble here! The ref calls for Battle to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Haris Milavic!
