Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Cusumano (ranked 23324 p4p, 899 weight class) and Christopher Banks (ranked 9316 p4p, 858 weight class). Cusumano's entrance music is Gamefire. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks tries to clinch up.
Cusumano tries to bum rush Banks with a series of wild strikes but Banks uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Banks takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Cusumano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Banks looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Banks throws a body shot but no joy.
Cusumano misses with a body kick.
Cusumano throws a right hand that Banks ducks under and follows up with a left that Banks also avoids with ease.
Banks on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Cusumano keeps the fight on the outside.
Cusumano tries to bum rush Banks with a series of wild strikes but Banks uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cusumano throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Cusumano is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Banks presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Cusumano has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Banks is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Banks has picked Cusumano up - he's going for a ride! Banks dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Banks seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cusumano does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cusumano bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Banks's head backwards.

Cusumano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Banks circles away quickly and effectively.

Cusumano tries to land a front kick but Banks steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Banks gets caught napping as Cusumano dives in and scores a takedown. Banks manages to retain guard.
Banks is looking for a triangle but Cusumano pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
