Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Walcott (ranked 961 p4p, 130 weight class) and Danny White (ranked 2738 p4p, 331 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Walcott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Danny White! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A punch lands to the side of Walcott 's head but he takes it in his stride. We've been informed that White has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts White, as that shot connected.
Walcott ducks right into an uppercut from White. White tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walcott sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten White somewhat. A bone on bone clash there as White blocks the leg kick.
White lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. White thuds his right hand into Walcott's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. White misses with a straight right. Walcott has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Studio in the buildup to the fight. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Walcott checks a leg kick. Walcott scores with a decent looking hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Walcott throws a body punch but White moves out of range. Walcott is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Walcott uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from White. White dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Walcott misses the shot to the body. White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Walcott takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Walcott wants to sweep here but White controlling him for the moment. White is looking to work some ground and pound but Walcott has wrist control. Walcott pulls White in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walcott utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. White lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Walcott managing to control the position. Walcott preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Walcott wants to sweep here but White controlling him for the moment. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Walcott looks to land a combination but White avoids it well. White misses with a combination
and Walcott counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. White throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Walcott stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A looping hook to the body misses from Walcott. White does a little dance to reset his feet. Walcott slips a jab from White. White shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walcott pinned against the cage. Walcott gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Joe Walcott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny White. Walcott misses with a jab, cross combination.
White is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Walcott's half guard. Walcott tries to get to full guard but White has control of the leg.

Walcott is doing well to control the position and prevent White from advancing to side control. White thows a huge punch but Walcott dodges it nicely.

Walcott wants to slow White down by chopping away at his legs. White throws a shot from downtown. Walcott moves away and avoids it. Walcott misses with a looping left. Walcott lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Walcott swings away with a leg kick that misses. The crowd cheers as White lands an impressive looking overhand right. Walcott doesn't seem phased though. Walcott looks to land a right hand but White moved out of range. Walcott throws a hook but White avoids it easily. And White responds with a good body kick, but Walcott manages to step out the way in time. White has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A swing and a miss from White. Walcott displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! White throws a leg kick which misses Walcott's front leg but catches the back leg as Walcott tries to avoid it. Nice defenses there by Walcott. White feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Walcott's calf. A jab from Walcott finds it's way through White's defenses. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Walcott cracks White with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. White shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walcott's guard. White keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Walcott's head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. White postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. White loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Walcott will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. White wants to control from the top but Walcott keeps moving. White throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walcott works some decent striking defense from the bottom. White works over Walcott with some ground and pound from guard. White in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Walcott is controlling White's posture.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for White. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. White throws a head kick but Walcott moves out of range.

Danny White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. White uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Walcott.
Walcott is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. White throws a head kick but Walcott moves out of range.
As White looks to move away, Walcott throws a big counter combo but White just gets out of the way. White misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A close second round but Danny White will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

White lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. White shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. White showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. White is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Danny White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Walcott being controlled here, momentarily. White wants to control from the top but Walcott keeps moving.
