The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Haack misses
and Hoffman counters with a shoot takedown. Haack fights it but they end up in guard.
Haack is pulling down on Hoffman 's head to control his posture.
Hoffman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Hoffman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Haack swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Haack looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hoffman is one step ahead there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoffman postures up in Haack's guard and throws a big left but Haack blocks it.

Hoffman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Haack's head.
Hoffman drops back looking for a leg! Haack is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Haack manages to kick Hoffman off! Hoffman jumps back into Haack's guard.
Hoffman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hoffman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Haack swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoffman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Haack dives on top into guard.
Hoffman has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Haack doesn't defend quickly enough and Hoffman has managed to lock this one up! Can Haack escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hoffman on a fantastic submission victory.
