Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jezza Clarko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Khabib Murmegov! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clarko ducks under a wild hook from Murmegov. Clarko changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Murmegov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Clarko looking for a sweep but Murmegov has passed into full mount! Oh no! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clarko really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clarko is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Murmegov controlling the pace for now. Clarko keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Murmegov lands with some strikes. Murmegov avoids the attempt from Clarko to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Clarko tries to lock up and control but Murmegov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Clarko working to try and regain half guard.

Clarko has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Murmegov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Clarko. Clarko regains half guard. Clarko slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Clarko looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Murmegov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Clarko wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Murmegov is not content to let Clarko control the position. Clarko throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Clarko working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Clarko fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Clarko tries for a kimura but Murmegov is defending well. Clarko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Murmegov has escaped the position, nice work there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jezza Clarko dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Murmegov misses with a wild body shot. Murmegov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Murmegov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Murmegov works to advance to full mount. Clarko defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Clarko is trying to escape the mount.
Clarko sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Murmegov content to control rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murmegov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Clarko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Clarko looking for submissions off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Clarko is looking to regain half guard here but Murmegov keeps moving and retains side control. Clarko wants to control but Murmegov postures up. Clarko is looking for a sweep. Murmegov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Clarko defends well and Murmegov ends up having to push Clarko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Clarko feinted with a counter takedown. Murmegov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Clarko defends it nicely. Clarko drops down looking for a counter takedown but Murmegov sprawls and moves away. Murmegov misses with a takedown attempt - Clarko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Clarko attempts a counter takedown but Murmegov avoids it well and moves away. Jezza Clarko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khabib Murmegov.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. No luck with that takedown attempt from Murmegov. Clarko changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Murmegov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Murmegov showed some decent athleticism there. Murmegov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Clarko moves into full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Khabib Murmegov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Murmegov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
