Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, James Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremiah Jones!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jones on the side of the head.
Jones misses with a shot to the body
and Bean connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bean jabs Jones right on the nose. Jones blinks but takes it well.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones tries to clinch but Bean moves away

so Bean counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bean's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
We've been hearing that Bean has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Bean postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jones holds on and takes a little breather.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bean's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bean postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bean passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Bean lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jones down.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bean lands a nice forearm strike.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Bean looks up at the clock and then as Jones takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bean smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bean cracks Jones with a big right hand but Jones just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Bean has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jones parries the strikes from Bean easily there. Bean is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jones to escape.

Jones told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Jones has hold of Bean's hands but Bean slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Jones is looking for a sweep. Bean is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bean is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jones throws a lazy head kick
and Bean counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jones wants to clinch up but Bean keeps it at a distance.
Jones walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

and Bean counters with a straight right hand.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bean pinned against the cage. Bean gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bean uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bean is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bean's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bean duly obliges.

Bean is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bean looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jones has his foot on Bean's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bean works his way back into a safe position though.
