Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Lichen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Tinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tinto has chosen Shell Shocked as his entrance music. Daniel Tinto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Lichen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Tinto! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tinto tries to clinch there but Lichen circles away.

Tinto shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Lichen throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Tinto forces Lichen back against the cage and clinches. Lichen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Tinto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lichen walks away with a smile on his face. Tinto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. David Lichen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tinto pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A little feinted left hand from Lichen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Lichen takes a swing at Tinto's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tinto gets in close and instigates a clinch. Lichen lands with a short head shot on the inside. Lichen fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Tinto has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lichen after a bit of a struggle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tinto tries for a takedown but Lichen manages to get underhooks.

Lichen throws a hook to the side of Tinto's head but Tinto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A countering left hand to the body from Tinto misses. A decent looking cross lands there for Lichen. Lichen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tinto manages to avoid it. Tinto walks into a left hand. Lichen works Tinto's body with a nice hook. Tinto moves out of range of the strikes. Tinto ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tinto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lichen. Lichen throws a combination. Tinto tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Lichen looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Lichen throws a jab when Tinto was well out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lichen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tinto swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tinto defending well as Lichen loads up on a big left hand. Tinto attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Tinto throws a sloppy head kick and Lichen moves out of range easily. Lichen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lichen clinches. Lichen lands an uppercut. Tinto has Lichen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lichen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Lichen throws a head punch that misses. Tinto wants to break free but Lichen has control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lichen has Tinto pressed against the cage, preventing Tinto from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Tinto slowing the pace effectively. Lichen misses with a punch to the body.

Tinto will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Lichen wants to control from the top but Tinto keeps moving. Lichen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tinto is proving hard to escape from. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tinto flicks out a counter leg kick but Lichen steps away. Tinto takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Lichen darts in and out, connecting with a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tinto walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Lichen thuds his right hand into Tinto's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Lichen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Tinto's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Lichen tries a body shot but Tinto blocks it.

Tinto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tinto wants to get back to his feet but Lichen is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Tinto managing to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tinto tries to clinch up but Lichen circles away and keeps his distance. David Lichen is winning the standup battle so far. Lichen looks to throw the jab but Tinto is out of range. Despite the aggression on Tinto's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Tinto is looking to land body kicks. Tinto closes the distance and pushes Lichen back into the cage. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lichen, as that shot connected.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lichen dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Lichen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Tinto moves into the clinch. Lichen lands a hook to the side of the head. Lichen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lichen tries to get out of the position. Lichen is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! David Lichen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lichen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
