Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reyes Bucanerro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cesar Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Reyes Bucanerro!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bucanerro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Reyes is trying to defend but Bucanerro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Bucanerro passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Reyes!
Reyes really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Bucanerro has hold of Reyes's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Reyes manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bucanerro misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Reyes wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bucanerro.

Bucanerro is trying to control the action in half guard but Reyes is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Reyes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bucanerro is working away from the top position though.
Reyes tries to roll over but Bucanerro keeps him under control.

Bucanerro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Reyes sees it coming and defends easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bucanerro is looking to advance position but Reyes won't allow it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bucanerro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bucanerro wants to control from the top but Reyes keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Bucanerro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Reyes Bucanerro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Bucanerro shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Reyes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Reyes manages to get back to half guard.
Reyes wants to improve his position but Bucanerro is controlling well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Reyes is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bucanerro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bucanerro's back!
Reyes lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Bucanerro hold on?!
Bucanerro is really stuck here.
Reyes is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Reyes gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Reyes gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Reyes apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Reyes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bucanerro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

letting Reyes counter with a right hand.
Reyes tries to clinch but Bucanerro moves out of range.
Reyes dives in and grabs Bucanerro's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bucanerro pushes down on Reyes's head and hops out.

Bucanerro bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reyes struggling a bit here.

Reyes tries to bench press Bucanerro off him but Bucanerro keeps the position.
Bucanerro is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Reyes's shoulder. That is not cool.
Reyes manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Reyes is looking for a sweep. Bucanerro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Reyes is trying to maintain the position but Bucanerro is very close to passing his half guard.

Bucanerro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Reyes sees it coming and defends easily.

Bucanerro drives through and clinches with Reyes against the cage.

Bucanerro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Reyes uses from the top position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reyes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Reyes working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Bucanerro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bucanerro might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Reyes haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Reyes looking to sit in guard and control but Bucanerro gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Reyes Bucanerro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bucanerro winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
