Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andre Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sexton Hardcastle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soares comes into the arena with Black Sabbath - Iron Man blaring out of the sound system. Hardcastle is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: How I Could Just Kill a Man- Rage Against the Machine. Sexton Hardcastle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sexton Hardcastle!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares looks to land a combination but Hardcastle avoids it well.
Soares tries to bum rush Hardcastle with a series of wild strikes but Hardcastle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hardcastle tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Soares throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hardcastle counters with a shoot takedown. Soares fights it but they end up in guard.
Hardcastle avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Soares manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hardcastle manages to get himself to full guard.
Hardcastle trying to keep a closed guard but Soares is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soares slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hardcastle looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Soares trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardcastle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Soares is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hardcastle is trying to keep Soares in close.
Hardcastle looking for a sweep. Not yet Hardcastle, not yet.
Hardcastle keeping full guard, as Soares tries to pass.
Hardcastle throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
We've been hearing that Soares has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Hardcastle keeping moving, preventing Soares from controlling successfully.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hardcastle will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hardcastle tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Soares rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hardcastle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Soares tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hardcastle defends well and Soares ends up having to push Hardcastle into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Andre Soares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soares slaps away a takedown attempt from Hardcastle, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Soares feints a jab promting Hardcastle to slip. Soares then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hardcastle slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Soares tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Soares shoots in for a takedown but Hardcastle shows good takedown defense.
Soares throws a jab but it's blocked by Hardcastle.
Hardcastle with the counter takedown but Soares avoids it easily.
Hardcastle throws out a powerful jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Soares looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hardcastle is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Soares throws a nice looking combination but Hardcastle bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hardcastle feints the counter takedown.
Hardcastle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Soares wants to clinch but Hardcastle slips to the side
and Hardcastle counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Soares keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Hardcastle slows the pace down in half guard.
Hardcastle is pressing down on Soares's thigh, looking to free his foot. Soares is holding on for now.

Soares moves into full guard.
Hardcastle is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Soares looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hardcastle is defending well. Soares quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hardcastle has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Soares celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
