The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Skrinjaric enables Owens to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Skrinjaric manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Skrinjaric manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Owens throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Skrinjaric bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Skrinjaric lands a nice forearm strike.
It looks like Clifton Owens has been cut.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Owens has eaten all the pies!

Skrinjaric cracks Owens with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Skrinjaric immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Owens is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Skrinjaric!
