Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tadakatsu Honda!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honda closes this distance looking for a takedown but Perry circles away.
Perry wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Perry has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Perry scores with a nice head shot.
Honda takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mike Perry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Honda on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Honda is defended easily by Perry.
Honda throws a combination that misses
letting Perry counter with a right hand.
Honda has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Perry finds it's way round the side to connect with Honda's head.
Perry cracks Honda with an open hand slap.

Honda tries to close the distance and clinch but Perry swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Perry connects with a body shot that sends Honda's belly button to the back.

enabling Perry to counter with a crisp jab.
Perry connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Honda momentarily.

Perry fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Honda to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Honda looks to clinch but Perry throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Honda taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Mike Perry thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
