Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Randy Hope! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paul Murhaa! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hope misses with a wild body shot. Left hook, right uppercut from Hope. Hope takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hope throws a looping overhand right but Murhaa ducks down to avoid it. Murhaa connects with a jab. Hope drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Murhaa staying out of range there. Murhaa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hope has time to react. Murhaa has managed to clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Murhaa on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Murhaa's coach down at Jacks Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Murhaa's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Still in the clinch, Murhaa scores with a nice short uppercut. Hope misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Murhaa blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Murhaa breaks the clinch.
Murhaa instigates a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hope as Murhaa tries to tie him up. Hope blocks a body shot from Murhaa.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murhaa taking a breather. Murhaa lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Murhaa tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Murhaa taking a breather. Murhaa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from Hope misses. Murhaa takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Murhaa thuds his right hand into Hope's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Murhaa digs a good hook to Hope's body.
Murhaa scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Hope just misses with a punch to the body.
Hope fails with an attempt to clinch.
Murhaa scores with a jab to the jaw. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Murhaa scores with a nice right hand.

Murhaa misses with a series of wild punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murhaa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hope scores with a shoulder strike. Murhaa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Murhaa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Murhaa thuds a left hand into Hope's body. Hope dips to his left and cracks Murhaa with an uppercut! Hope throws a jab but it's blocked by Murhaa. Hope throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Murhaa sees it coming and avoids it easily. Murhaa lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Hope throws a big shot that misses. Good shot there by Murhaa. Murhaa scores with the left hand. Hope knows he should have avoided that one. Murhaa moves into range and clinches up with Hope. Hope pushes Murhaa back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Hope blocks an uppercut.
Still in the clinch, Murhaa scores with a nice short uppercut. Murhaa lands a left hand.
Hope is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murhaa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Oh Hope is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Murhaa cracks Hope on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Hope falls backwards against the cage. Murhaa follows up with more strikes that drop Hope to his knees. Murhaa keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Hope! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Murhaa! Paul Murhaa is the new bantamweight champion!
