Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Boyfriend!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scott John!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Boyfriend crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from John - the referee stops the clock and Boyfriend gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says John. Boyfriend manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
John fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Boyfriend lands a jab to the head.
Boyfriend displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Scott John has been cut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Boyfriend checks a leg kick.
John misses with a body kick.
Boyfriend fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
John connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Daniel Boyfriend has been cut.
John throws a right hand that misses
and Boyfriend counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boyfriend takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Boyfriend throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Scott John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boyfriend rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but John moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
John throws a good cross that connects.
Danga de danga de dang - Boyfriend scores with a four punch combination!
John has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Boyfriend jabs at John's body.
John thumps Boyfriend with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boyfriend takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
John lands a head shot.
Boyfriend lands a nice shot to the body.
Boyfriend connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
John jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
John scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
John missing with a left hand there. Boyfriend was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
John stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from John - that will leave a mark!
John is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
John throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Boyfriend stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Boyfriend has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bonsai Club MMA in the buildup to the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boyfriend misses with a wild body shot.
Boyfriend takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Boyfriend falls off balance throwing a combination
and John counters with a huge left! Boyfriend is in big trouble! He's backing up but John isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Boyfriend from any more damage. A dominating finish by John!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott John!
A less than humble Scott John misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
