Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gene Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Diamond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gene Warren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Diamond! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Warren throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diamond was covering up waiting for the punch and Warren finishes the takedown easily into guard. Diamond wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Warren manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diamond scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Warren manages to mount him!
Warren sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Warren dominating with strikes here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Warren misses with a head shot. Diamond tries to lock up and control but Warren gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Diamond tries to reverse the position but Warren maintains control. Warren controlling his opponent. Diamond should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Warren tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Diamond's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Diamond really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Diamond is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Warren scores with a couple of good head shots there.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Diamond wants to control from the top but Warren keeps moving. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Warren pushes Diamond off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Diamond clinches up against the cage. Diamond taking a breather. Warren drags the fight down to the ground.
