Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Gauthier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mountain Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roger Gauthier is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Gauthier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 85 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rivera stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rivera wants it to stay on the feet. Rivera wants to counter with a clinch but Gauthier pushes him away. Rivera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gauthier pinned against the cage. Gauthier gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rivera tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gauthier sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rivera somewhat. Rivera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gauthier tries to avoid it but Rivera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gauthier to the ground. Gauthier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Roger Gauthier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mountain Rivera. Rivera closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gauthier's guard. Gauthier is trying to control the position but Rivera postures up. Rivera throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rivera is stalling in the full guard. Gauthier wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rivera distracts Gauthier with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Gauthier throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Rivera working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gauthier avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rivera is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Rivera with a nice head shot there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rivera is in close to Gauthier's body, working some short punches and elbows. Rivera missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Rivera sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rivera postures up in Gauthier's guard and throws a big left but Gauthier blocks it. Rivera slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rivera accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gauthier is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Gauthier tries to clinch up but Rivera circles away and keeps his distance. Gauthier gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rivera counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rivera content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Gauthier tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gauthier takes a knee to the side of the body. Gauthier is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Gauthier is trying to drag Rivera to the mat but Rivera just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Rivera pulls guard. Gauthier postures up in Rivera's guard and throws a big left but Rivera blocks it. Rivera pulls Gauthier in to control the position. Gauthier is looking to stand up but Rivera won't let him. Rivera keeping moving, preventing Gauthier from controlling successfully. Rivera looking for a sweep. Not yet Rivera, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rivera has his foot on Gauthier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gauthier works his way back into a safe position though. Gauthier would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Rivera keeping moving, preventing Gauthier from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Rivera gets a clinch. Rivera works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Rivera works over Gauthier with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rivera wants to control from the top but Gauthier keeps moving. Rivera throws a big right hand that misses. Rivera loads up on a big left hand. Gauthier felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Rivera looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Gauthier can't hide his disappointment, as Rivera celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mountain Rivera! A less than humble Mountain Rivera misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
