The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sugo slaps away a takedown attempt from Zipe, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sugo darts in looking for a takedown but Zipe gets double underhooks and turns Sugo into the cage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Zipe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sugo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Zipe decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sugo feints and then cracks Zipe's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zipe down.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Zipe, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
