Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamadou Sakho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mamadou Sakho has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Mac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mamadou Sakho! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac gets a clinch. Sakho lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Mac looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sakho obliges. Sakho working Mac over with knees to the body. Sakho told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. A short left from Sakho. Sakho lands an elbow just above Mac 's eye.
It looks like Daniel Mac has been cut. Sakho crunches a lovely knee into Mac's ribcage. Sakho throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Macs head. Sakho landing knees to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice elbow from Sakho. Mac is breathing heavily. Sakho lands an elbow inside that Mac shrugs off.
Daniel Mac's cut is getting worse. Mac tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Sakho lands an elbow inside that Mac shrugs off. Sakho has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head and Mac goes down! Sakho dives on top of him - Mac manages to get guard.
Mac is rocked!
Jeez, Daniel Mac's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Sakho trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Oh Mac is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sakho is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Sakho in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakho is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mac seems to have got his legs back now. It looks like Sakho might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Sakho is continuing to stall. Sakho's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Mac might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mac working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sakho. Mac controls Sakho momentarily but Sakho frees himself.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sakho fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mac has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Sakho lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sakho lands a right hook to the body.
Mac ducks straight into an uppercut from Sakho and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Mac manages to regain guard straight away.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Daniel Mac's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mamadou Sakho!
