Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Santos Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hasan Tareq!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr throws a nice looking combination but Tareq bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Tareq shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tareq showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tareq with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tareq stalling away here and it's allowed Kerr to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerr looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kerr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tareq is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kerr has Tareq pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kerr tries to sprawl but Tareq drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Tareq seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kerr won't allow Tareq to pass to mount.

Tareq is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Tareq is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kerr is just riding it out for now. Tareq eventually gives up the hold.
Kerr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tareq throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kerr is trying is best to control the position here.
Kerr tries to roll over but Tareq keeps him under control.
Tareq sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kerr defending well though.

Tareq is working for a kimura but Kerr is defending it quite comfortably.
Kerr trying to get back to full guard but Tareq takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tareq sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Kerr bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kerr thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kerr gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hasan Tareq dominated that round.
That's time! Kerr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Kerr gets caught napping as Tareq dives in and scores a takedown. Kerr manages to retain guard.
Tareq must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kerr is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Tareq has his hands clasped together but Kerr extends and breaks Tareq's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kerr.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Santos Kerr!
