Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexey Andreev (ranked 1067 p4p, 163 weight class) and Matt Del Rio (ranked 464 p4p, 78 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Del Rio!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andreev misses the shot to the body.
Del Rio defending well as Andreev loads up on a big left hand.
Alexey Andreev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Andreev throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Andreev looks to land a right hand but Del Rio moved out of range.

It looked like Andreev was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Del Rio.

It looks like Matt Del Rio has been cut.

Andreev walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Del Rio fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Andreev manages to avoid it.

Andreev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Del Rio circles away quickly and effectively.
Andreev throws the left hand but Del Rio avoids the punch easily.
Del Rio appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Del Rio swings for the body but Andreev moves out of range.
Andreev takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Andreev scores with the left hand. Del Rio knows he should have avoided that one.

Andreev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Del Rio's guard.

Del Rio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Andreev defends it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Andreev is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Del Rio to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Del Rio shrugs it off.
