Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnie Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Wiggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnie Serrano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Wiggins!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Wiggins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Serrano appears to be looking for a big counter.
Wiggins fails to land with a series of punches.
Wiggins tries to clinch but Serrano moves out of range.
Serrano seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Wiggins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Serrano wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Wiggins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Serrano kicks Wiggins off and gets back to his feet.
Serrano fails with a takedown attempt.
Wiggins tries to land a front kick but Serrano steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Serrano looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wiggins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Serrano is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Serrano postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Serrano content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Wiggins looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Serrano is looking to work some ground and pound but Wiggins has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Serrano chips away with some ground and pound.
Serrano postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Wiggins looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Serrano missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Serrano is in close to Wiggins's body, working some short punches and elbows.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Serrano accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Serrano loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Serrano postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Wiggins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Serrano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Serrano landing some decent shots from guard.
Serrano lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Serrano working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wiggins's head.
Wiggins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Serrano lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Serrano will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wiggins wants to stand but Serrano is controlling the position.
Serrano postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wiggins trying to keep a closed guard but Serrano is proving a slippery customer.

Wiggins working for submissions but it's allowed Serrano to get to half guard.

Serrano is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wiggins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Serrano.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Serrano working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnie Serrano dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wiggins displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Wiggins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Serrano sneaks out the side door and pushes Wiggins away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Wiggins throws a leg kick but Serrano checks it.
Wiggins gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Serrano counters by moving into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Serrano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Serrano feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wiggins wants to get back to his feet but Serrano passes into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Serrano drops an elbow to the side of Wiggins's head.
Johnie Serrano overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Serrano stops Wiggins from getting back to his feet.

Serrano is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Wiggins is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Johnie Serrano!
