Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kidney Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone's entrance music is Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppord. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kidney Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jeremy Pettis!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone misses with an uppercut
and Pettis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Stone definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

and Pettis counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stone throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Pettis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stone looks to land a left hand but Pettis moved out of range nicely.
Pettis is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Stone lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pettis has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pettis and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Pettis has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
