Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Miyamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Dirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dirt has chosen Tough as John Jacobs as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenji Miyamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Dirt! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dirt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Miyamoto moves into range and clinches up with Dirt. Miyamoto has Dirt pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Miyamoto pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dirt tumbling to the mat - Miyamoto dives into Dirt's guard. Miyamoto postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dirt working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Miyamoto. Miyamoto tries to free his leg and advance position but Dirt is retaining full guard. Dirt is looking to sweep but instead, Miyamoto has passed into half guard.
Miyamoto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dirt on the ground. Dirt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dirt trying to control but Miyamoto postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyamoto performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Dirt tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Miyamoto manages to move to mount!
Dirt tries to hold on but Miyamoto pushes him away. Miyamoto scoring with strikes but Dirt is staying in there. Miyamoto avoids the attempt from Dirt to control. Dirt is desperately trying to improve his position but Miyamoto has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dirt tries to hold on but Miyamoto postures up. Miyamoto working away from the top, dropping strikes. Dirt is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dirt tries to hold on but Miyamoto pushes him away. Dirt might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Miyamoto kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Miyamoto unloading with bombs! Miyamoto is landing with some decent strikes but Dirt is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dirt tries to hold on but Miyamoto postures up. Dirt keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Miyamoto avoids the attempt from Dirt to control. Miyamoto controlling from mount. Miyamoto with good strikes from the mount here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dirt tries to hold on but Miyamoto postures up. Dirt flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Dirt is in all sorts of trouble here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miyamoto connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Dirt wants to get back to his feet.
Miyamoto scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Miyamoto looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenji Miyamoto dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dirt ducks right into an uppercut from Miyamoto. Miyamoto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dirt swats him away and circles back towards the center. A left and a right from Miyamoto both land. Nice combination. Miyamoto tries to clinch up but Dirt circles away and keeps his distance. Dirt showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Miyamoto.
Dirt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dirt swings for the body but Miyamoto moves out of range.
Miyamoto misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dirt shoots for a takedown but Miyamoto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Miyamoto closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dirt to the mat! Dirt manages to get full guard. Dirt is trying to hold Miyamoto in close to prevent damage but Miyamoto has managed to pass into half guard.
Dirt wants to control but Miyamoto is keeping busy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Miyamoto winds up and cracks Dirt with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dirt is looking to get back to is feet but Miyamoto passes into side control.
Miyamoto prevents Dirt from escaping the position. Miyamoto avoids the strikes from the bottom by Dirt. Miyamoto working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Dirt gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Miyamoto prevents Dirt from improving his position. Dirt wants to control but Miyamoto is keeping busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Miyamoto tries to clinch but Dirt is having none of it. Dirt with a lazy takedown attempt and Miyamoto counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dirt wants to clinch. Dirt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Miyamoto counters with a one-two to the body. Kenji Miyamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Dirt. Miyamoto tries to bum rush Dirt with a series of wild strikes but Dirt uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dirt with a lazy takedown attempt and Miyamoto counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dirt won't be happy with that. Dirt tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dirt can't do much from the bottom here. Miyamoto tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Miyamoto wants to stand but Dirt has his arm trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dirt tries to buck Miyamoto off but Miyamoto is having none of it. Dirt gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Dirt trying to control from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dirt closes the distance and clinches up with Miyamoto, looking for a takedown. Dirt pushes Miyamoto against the cage but Miyamoto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dirt shoots and misses and Miyamoto counters with a shoot takedown. Dirt fights it but they end up in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miyamoto thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miyamoto fails in his attempt to clinch. Miyamoto moves into the clinch. Dirt has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Miyamoto avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Miyamoto tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Dirt has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Miyamoto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Miyamoto misses with a knee to the head. Miyamoto gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dirt.
Kenji Miyamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Dirt. Miyamoto has Dirt pushed against the cage. Miyamoto wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dirt has him pressed against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Miyamoto. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miyamoto gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dirt.
Miyamoto wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Miyamoto is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dirt is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Miyamoto to the mat. Miyamoto regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Miyamoto trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dirt throwing strikes from guard but Miyamoto blocks nicely. Dirt stands and throws Miyamoto's legs to the side, diving into side control. Miyamoto tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dirt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dirt scoring with punches and elbows. Dirt tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dirt wants to control but Miyamoto is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dirt lands a decent elbow from side control. Miyamoto is trying to get back to half guard. Kenji Miyamoto overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dirt decides to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dirt fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Miyamoto looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. No luck for Dirt with that takedown attempt. Dirt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miyamoto is fending him off so far but Dirt persists. Nope, Miyamoto circles away and we're back to standing. Dirt throws a one two combo.
Dirt stuffs the takedown attempt from Miyamoto. Miyamoto gets slowly back to his feet. Dirt tries for a takedown but Miyamoto circles away easily and Miyamoto counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dirt won't be happy with that. Dirt gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Dirt is trying to control but Miyamoto manages to pass to mount!
Dirt is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miyamoto postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dirt looks a forlorn figure.

Dirt is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Dirt wants to control but Miyamoto is having none of it. Dirt is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Miyamoto is staying active. Joe Dirt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kenji Miyamoto is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Miyamoto blocks Dirt's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Joe Dirt. Well Miyamoto has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
