Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Project Joshua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darrow Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joshua misses with a double jab
and Jackson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Joshua's knee momentarily.
Jackson tries to land a leg kick but Joshua saw it coming and moves away.
A counter left hand to the body from Joshua misses its target.

Jackson moves into the clinch successfully.
Joshua throws a punch but it's blocked by Jackson.
Jackson digs a right hand into Joshua's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Joshua's gas tank.
We've been informed that Jackson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Joshua manages to break the clinch.
Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Joshua throws a big counter combination but Jackson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Joshua walks into a jab.
Joshua pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Joshua connects with a right hand. Jackson shakes it off.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Jackson.


It looks like Project Joshua has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson controlling the action here for a moment.
Joshua swings wildly with an uppercut but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Joshua breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jackson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Joshua keeps the fight on the outside.
Jackson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Joshua checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A telegraphed right hand from Jackson misses the target.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Joshua circles away.
Jackson tries to clinch but Joshua is having none of it.
Jackson misses with a looping right.

Joshua drops Jackson with a beautiful combination! Jackson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Joshua is looking for the KO!


Jackson is rocked!


It looks like Darrow Jackson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Joshua avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Joshua finish him?
Joshua scores with a kick to the body.
Jackson looks winded!
Joshua scores with a hook to the body. Jackson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Joshua throws a pinpoint strike between Jackson's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Jackson crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Joshua scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Project Joshua!
