Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Dickinson (ranked 2103 p4p, 113 weight class) and Oddis Slajos (ranked 21444 p4p, 492 weight class). David Dickinson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, David Dickinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oddis Slajos! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dickinson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dickinson throws a body shot but no joy. Slajos scores with a jab. Dickinson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slajos fails to land with a series of punches.
A right-left combo lands from Slajos. Slajos misses with a wild combination.
Dickinson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Dickinson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Slajos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dickinson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Slajos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dickinson's head backwards. Dickinson wants to clinch. Slajos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slajos throws a right hand that Dickinson ducks under and follows up with a left that Dickinson also avoids with ease. Slajos takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Oddis Slajos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dickinson moves into range and clinches up with Slajos. A short right from Dickinson. Slajos wants to get back to striking at distance but Dickinson won't allow it.
Slajos lands a takedown into guard.
Slajos is fighting to break Dickinson's control of his arms but Dickinson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Dickinson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dickinson is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Slajos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slajos can't keep his opponent in guard - Dickinson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Dickinson is keen to just control but Slajos is a slippery customer. Dickinson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Dickinson is trying to control the action in half guard but Slajos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Slajos makes his way to full guard, as Dickinson worked for a kimura.
Dickinson tries to free his leg and advance position but Slajos is retaining full guard. Dickinson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Slajos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Slajos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Slajos!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickinson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Dickinson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Slajos seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Slajos gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Slajos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dickinson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Dickinson is controlling the pace.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Oddis Slajos will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A punch combination from Slajos misses. Dickinson tries to counter by clinching up but Slajos breaks away and moves out of range. Dickinson takes a shot right to the bread basket. Slajos connects with a body shot. Dickinson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Slajos cracks Dickinson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Slajos works the jab nicely. Slajos throws a one two combo.
Dickinson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slajos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Slajos throws a good cross that connects.
Slajos swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dickinson counters with a big head kick but Slajos shrugs it off. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slajos dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dickinson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Dickinson slips under a jab from Slajos. Slajos throws out a powerful jab. Oddis Slajos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slajos connects with a looping right hand.
Slajos connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Dickinson throws a head kick but Slajos moves out of range.
Slajos throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dickinson on the side of the head. Slajos lands with a cross.
Dickinson is rocked! Dickinson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Slajos just misses with a punch to the body.
Slajos keeps the fight on the outside. Slajos takes a swing at Dickinson's ribcage but misses. Dickinson takes one on the button. Slajos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dickinson moves in looking to clinch but Slajos pushes him off. A countering left hand to the body from Slajos misses. Slajos has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Slajos lands a right hook to the body.
Dickinson fails in his attempt to clinch. David Dickinson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Slajos takes a swing at Dickinson's ribcage but misses. Slajos scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Oddis Slajos seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dickinson has closed the distance and engaged Slajos in a clinch.
Dickinson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Dickinson is looking to take this one to the mat. Dickinson misses with a hook to the ribs.
Slajos is trying to trip Dickinson. He has hold of a leg but Dickinson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Slajos persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Dickinson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Slajos's guard.
Dickinson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Slajos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dickinson, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dickinson has a closed guard, preventing Slajos from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickinson working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Slajos has passed into half guard!
Dickinson gets full guard. Slajos won't allow Dickinson to sweep him here. Slajos tries to stand but Dickinson is controlling from the bottom. Slajos postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Slajos connects with a body shot. Dickinson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Slajos circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jab by Slajos. Dickinson throws a body punch but Slajos moves out of range. Dickinson misses with a takedown and Slajos counters by moving into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Dickinson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dickinson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Slajos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dickinson to the mat. Dickinson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Dickinson wants to hit a switch here but Slajos passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dickinson there! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dickinson tries to reverse the position but Slajos maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oddis Slajos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Dickinson tries to close the distance and clinch but Slajos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Slajos connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Slajos scores with a jab to the head.
Slajos connects with a jab. The fighters circle momentarily. Slajos darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Dickinson moves in looking to clinch but Slajos pushes him off. Slajos smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Dickinson scores with a hook to the body. Slajos takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Dickinson throws a head kick that half lands.
Sloppy strikes from Slajos. Those never looked like landing. Dickinson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Oh Dickinson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dickinson rushes Slajos and presses him up against the cage. Dickinson seems to have got his legs back now. Slajos prevents a body shot from Dickinson. A head punch on the inside from Dickinson fails to land. Dickinson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Slajos gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slajos turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Slajos working away. Slajos has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Slajos goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Slajos jabs Dickinson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Dickinson tries to clinch up. Slajos looks to land a left hand but Dickinson moved out of range nicely. Dickinson throws a body kick that misses. Slajos lands with a cross. A left and a right from Slajos both land. Nice combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Slajos connects with a jab. Dickinson has closed the distance and engaged Slajos in a clinch.

Dickinson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dickinson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Dickinson is trying to keep Slajos in close.

Slajos wants to get up but he can't break Dickinson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Dickinson wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickinson throwing short punches from the bottom. Dickinson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Slajos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dickinson has his feet on Slajos's thighs here. He's pushed Slajos off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Slajos screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
