The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckshank throws a good cross that connects.
Buckshank fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Buckshank connects with a nice looking jab.
Buckshank misses with a hook. Cormier ducked under it nicely.
Buckshank throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Buckshank throws a right and a left that Cormier avoids nicely.
Buckshank could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cormier shoots in but no luck this time.
Cormier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Buckshank as he avoids it easily.
Buckshank misses with a double jab.
Cormier doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Buckshank fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Buckshank attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Buckshank looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Cormier counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Cormier drops down looking for an ankle pick but Buckshank pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ozamataz Buckshank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gavin Cormier.
Buckshank misses with a series of wild punches.
Buckshank scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Cormier takes the fight into the clinch.
Buckshank tries to circle away but Cormier has him pinned against the cage.

Cormier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cormier rushes Buckshank and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Buckshank is trying to maintain a safe position but Cormier gets an underhook and turns Buckshank into the cage.

Cormier is pushing Buckshank up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Buckshank has a couple of punches blocked by Cormier.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cormier can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cormier is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Cormier is looking for a triangle but Buckshank pushes his legs off easily.

Cormier has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Buckshank should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Cormier has tightened it up now! Buckshank should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
